I recently took a trip down Madison Avenue (ironically enough) in downtown Chicago. I always find inspiration among these streets. I can feel it, breathe it even. I have always visually analyzed the world around me. I capture the beauty of small details that the average person may not give a second glance. I have a strong sense of visualization particularly in Chicago. There is so much to give attention to. One hardly has time to blink!
I journeyed to this monumental city for an art class I am taking at Michigan State University. A friend an I left for Chicago in hopes of jam-packing our day with art. For art's sake of course. Coffee in hand, we began our morning at the Museum or Contemporary Photography. As an inspiring photography student, naturally this was my first choice. Later we made our way toward the Art Institute of Chicago, a must visit everytime I make it to the city. Then headed to the Chicago Cultural center, one of my personal favorites, swung by Millennium Park for a little bean action, took a minor pit stop in Blick Art Supplies, and wrapped up our evening at the Zolla/Lieberman Gallery.
Since we're talking visuals, here is a little of what I saw through my lens that day.

First snapshot at the Museum of Contemporary Photography.
The first inspiring artist. I liked her work because it was cultured in a natural, beautiful sort of way
